Italian Version    English Version

The Restaurant Pizzeria Porta Renza was opened in 1920 by the accountant Catalano. He named the restaurant “Porta Renza”, as a lover of Italian literature, as a tribute to Alessandro Manzoni and his 'Renzo and Lucia'.

Originally it was a popular beerhouse, frequented by the Italian upper class.

Open until three in the morning, Porta Renza has always been one of the favorite destinations for the late-night-lovers in Milan where they could taste the famous 'Filetto alla Rossini'.

The years have passed, along with fashions, but the restaurant remains true to its ancient history and even when in the 80’s it became Restaurant and Pizzeria, it kept the old traditions of class, elegance and sobriety.

The restaurant has been completely renovated to meet modern needs and you can taste unique dishes such as: “’il polipo e gamberetti alla catalane”, “spaghetti al filetto di branzino e gamberetti” or, returning to the old traditions, “cotoletta alla milanese con risotto alla Milanese” which has become one of our best dishes.

We’re waiting to see you, as always with class and confidence, at the Restaurant and Pizzeria Porta Renza in Viale Tunisia n°1, where the time, as if by magic, never pasted.
